For this project I was working with 2 other artists in primary schools that were within the Living Lomonds area using art and storytelling as a stimulus for children to express their experiences of picnicking. It involved an initial research stage with kids to find out their stories and knowledge about the Lomond Hills. Following this we returned to the schools with a story performance that we developed based on their ideas and a craft session to create picnic inspired art. Then we headed to the hills for picnics out in the Lomonds.
The final outcome of the project was that we created a leaflet about picnicking in the Lomond Hills using the children's artwork and ideas.
This Big Picnic Project was funded through the Living Lomonds Landscape Partnership (LLLP) with the aim to encourage interest in the Lomond hills area of Fife, Scotland.
The project is ran from October 2013-June 2014
